  A Husqvarna ride-on mower I bought in August 2015. This being the first time I have purchased a ride on mower I went to Hills District Farm Equipment and asked them to give me advice on which machine I should buy. I made it clear that I had 2 acres of land, which was partially hilly, which must be taken into account while they were deciding what to recommend me. That being said the salesman in the shop recommended the Husqvarna 120’c. While enquiring if this was the best possible option for my purposes the salesman assured me that this machine “clearly was the best”. With this in mind I went ahead with my purchase on the condition that the machine that was to be delivered too me was brand new and not the display model. However when the machine was delivered it did not look brand new. My name had been labeled on it despite the whole machine being wrapped up in the box and it appeared to be old and scratched like the used version that was the display model. After just 30 minutes of cutting the grass of my property the machine broke down. We were shocked a brand new, $5000 machine had just broken down after its first use right in front of us. Sending the machine back to be repaired we were told that the blade had fallen of the machine but we were not provided with a reason for this defect. In addition the customer service there was terrible. The attitude of the employees there was terrible. We had to wait hours for the man who did the repair for us and when he finally came he was impatient and rude. When we told him that the machine was clearly defective and that we would like a replacement he responded by saying that it was perfectly fine and that we had no right to ask for that. Refusing to listen to us anymore he just left us at the reception and said that he was “busy”. I think that it unacceptable that after being ensured that this was the best possible model that I spent $5000 on a defective machine that suffered a breakdown after its first use. After seeking repairs and a replacement I was treated rudely and unprofessionally by the employees in the repair team. Moreover the repair we thought that the machine would now finally run but it kept on breaking down again and again. We had to repair it 4 times in the past year due to the same defect and every time we brought up the fact that it was obviously defective we were brushed of with the simple comment “the machine is perfectly fine”. If this was true, I would like them to explain why this problem keeps occurring again and again but alas they could find no response for me. Over the course of this year I was forced to pay out of my pocket to repair this machine despite it stilling having warranty. The 3rd time I sent it back they said the blade had broken and that they had to order another one. I was charged nearly $200 in labor and shipping fees for this and it took nearly a month to come back. The last time I sent it for repair they said “the belt” was broken and that I would need to pay again for it to be fixed. I was fed up of spending even more money on a clearly defective machine so I refused to pay for the repairs because my warranty is still in effect. When I made this known to the repair team the refused to send me back my machine.
